These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of https://www.valleyjointpain.com/ and related online assessments, forms, and content (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Who we are
Valley Joint Pain Center is a medical practice in Van Nuys, California offering consults and image-guided procedures such as genicular artery embolization. The Site is an information and inquiry channel. Using the Site does not, by itself, make you a patient or create a physician-patient relationship.
2. Not medical advice
Content on the Site, including procedure descriptions, statistics, assessments, and guides, is for general education. It is not a diagnosis, treatment plan, or guarantee of results.
Do not use the Site for emergencies. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Only a qualified clinician, after reviewing your history and imaging as appropriate, can decide whether a procedure is right for you. Completing the 2-minute assessment or a Meta lead form is not a medical evaluation.
3. Inquiries, assessments, and consults
You agree that information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We may follow up by phone, SMS, or email using the contact details you provide.
We may decline, delay, or refer an inquiry. An invitation to a consult is not a promise of treatment or insurance coverage.
4. Text messages
If you opt in to SMS (including a separate, optional checkbox on a Meta lead form), you agree we may text the number you provided about your inquiry, screening, and consult coordination, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Consent is not required to use the Site or to request care. Reply STOP to cancel marketing or outreach texts; HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. We may also call you.
5. Insurance and results
Any figures on the Site about relief rates, recovery time, or coverage are illustrative and may change. Insurance coverage for procedures such as GAE varies by plan and medical necessity. We will discuss benefits when relevant. Nothing on the Site is a quote or a promise that your plan will pay.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Site, attempt to break security, scrape or overload it, submit unlawful or false information, or use it to harm others. We may block access.
7. Intellectual property
The Site’s text, design, branding, and media are owned by Valley Joint Pain Center or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without written permission, except as allowed by law (for example, fair use).
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy (https://www.valleyjointpain.com/privacy) explains how we handle personal information. It is part of how we operate the Site. These Terms control if there is a conflict about Site use.
9. Third-party services
The Site may link to or use third parties (maps, Meta, PDF guides, hosting). Those services have their own terms. We are not responsible for them.
10. Disclaimers
THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, VALLEY JOINT PAIN CENTER AND ITS CLINICIANS AND STAFF WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON SITE CONTENT.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that California law does not allow to be limited, including for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or rights you have as a patient under medical malpractice law for actual clinical care. These Terms apply to the Site, not to in-person medical treatment.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Valley Joint Pain Center and its clinicians and staff against claims arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our own misconduct.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Los Angeles County, California will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. The effective date will change. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
